Currently no signs of preparations for second attack on Kyiv, but risks remain — military administration chief

There are no signs of Russian troops preparing to attack Kyiv again, but the danger will remain until Ukraine wins, thechairman of the Kyiv city military administration MykolaZhyrnov said.
There are no signs of Russian troops preparing to attack Kyiv again, but the danger will remain until Ukraine wins, the chairman of the Kyiv City Military Administration Mykola Zhyrnov said.
He noted that looking at the Bryansk and Kursk regions of Russia, there are no actual signs of the formation of troops there. But the authorities know that the Russian Federation can also use the territory of Belarus.
"Russia has not given up its aggressive goal of taking over the entire territory of Ukraine. Kyiv as the capital is a priority goal for the capture of Russian troops. Given the significant amount of human and material resources, the danger of a second attack remains," said Zhyrnov.
But at the same time, he explains that a large grouping of troops needs to be created to attack again, and this requires time to train personnel, armament with military equipment and logistics. In today's conditions, it is impossible to do this overnight or at a short notice, assures the head of the military administration.
Zhyrnov also adds that Ukrainian defenders continue training, prepare frontiers and positions, build fortifications: "The threat exists and will exist until we win, but Kyiv is preparing to repel the enemy!"
Why is there talk of a second offensive?
Ever since Ukrainian troops drove the Russian occupiers out of Kyiv Oblast, the authorities have repeatedly stressed that the threat to the capital remains, and the enemy has not given up plans to capture it. However, recently the Russian media spread information that the Russians will attack Kyiv Oblast again if they succeed in the Donbas.
Recently, the head of the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, Oleksiy Kuleba, and the head of the Kyiv Oblast National Police, Andriy Nebytov, visited the region's border areas and assured that no activity was observed on the Belarusian border.
