A ninth body was found at the site of a Russian missile attack on Slovyansk. A French TV channel made a report from the camp of the Russian occupation forces. An eighteenth—century gospel saved from the occupiers is being restored in Kharkiv Oblast. Here's what you may have missed from the previous night.

Missile attack on Slovyansk

In Slovyansk, the body of a woman was recovered from the rubble of a house that was struck by Russians on April 14. So far, nine people have been confirmed dead. The search for four more people continues.

According to police, on April 14, Russians hit the city with seven missiles. 34 apartment buildings, 20 private homes, civilian infrastructure, and 12 cars were damaged.

France 24 in occupation camp

France 24, a French government-funded TV channel, aired a report from the camp of the Russian occupation forces. In particular, in this video, Russians said they were proud to be fighting against Ukraine.

The spokesman for the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oleg Nikolenko, said that the story about how Russian troops were preparing to kill Ukrainians was "a disgrace to journalism."

He also added that those who travel to the occupied territory without Ukraine's consent violate the law and will be held accountable.

Restoration of the saved Gospel

In Kharkiv Oblast, experts are restoring an 18th-century Gospel rescued by museum workers during the occupation of Izyum.

According to the Department of Culture and Tourism of the Kharkiv Oblast State Administration, the local history museum in Izyum was significantly damaged by Russian shelling. Windows were smashed, the roof was damaged, and there was no electricity or heating.

These conditions threatened the Ukrainian Baroque monument, so the Gospel was moved to another location.

Farewell to Polish volunteer

On April 14, Michał Żurek, a 45-year-old platoon commander of the volunteer International Legion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was buried in the Polish village of Bralin at the local cemetery. He was shot in the head in Bakhmut and died on March 25 in a hospital in Dnipro.
