Destruction of the occupants and their hardware in the south and shelling of Zaporizhzhia: the last night's highlights

The Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 57 occupants and two Russian tanks in the south; Russians attacked Zaporizhzhia again: a residential area came under fire. Here is what you may have missed from the previous night.

Success of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the south

On November 5, Ukrainian assault and army aviation attacked the stronghold and the area of concentration of enemy forces and means in Bashtanka and Beryslav Raions respectively.

In addition, bombers and fighters struck at the accumulation of occupants' hardware near Snihurivka, Russian air defense systems in Kherson Raion.

The command confirmed that the Russian occupation forces in the south of the country lost 57 soldiers, 2 tanks, 2 large-caliber howitzers, and 3 armored vehicles on November 5.

Attacks of the occupiers

On the night of November 6, the Russian occupation forces once again attacked Zaporizhzhia. Thus, a residential area of the city came under fire from the occupiers. Information about the victims and the scale of destruction is being clarified.

In addition, on November 5, the Russians fired at five border communities of Sumy Oblast. A fire broke out in one of them, houses were damaged.

Moreover, Russian troops shelled Dnipropetrovsk Oblast on the evening of November 5. A 9-year-old girl was wounded and hospitalized.

Kyiv preparing for winter

Klitschko does not rule out that Kyiv may be left without electricity, heat, water, and mobile coverage due to Russian strikes. He urges residents to prepare for different scenarios and consider leaving the capital for a while if the situation gets worse.

Private requests of the Biden administration

The administration of US President Joe Biden privately asks the leaders of Ukraine to demonstrate their readiness to negotiate with Russia, as well as not to refuse to publicly participate in peace talks if Putin is not removed from power, writes The Washington Post.

According to sources, these requests are not aimed at pushing Ukraine to negotiate. Such a demonstration of readiness for negotiations will provide Ukraine with a moral advantage in the eyes of international partners.
