Detention of the ex-owner of Motor Sich and the success of the Armed Forces in the south: the last night's highlights
Viacheslav Bohuslaiev, the ex—owner and honorary president of Motor Sich, was detained in Zaporizhzhia; the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed two Alligator helicopters and four ammunition depots in the south of the country. Here is what you may have missed from the previous night.
Detention of Bohuslaiev
In Zaporizhzhia, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine detained the ex-owner and honorary president of Motor Sich PJSC Viacheslav Bohuslaiev. Law enforcement officers took the detainee under escort from Zaporizhzhia to Kyiv. Bohuslaiev was suspected of collaborationism and aiding the aggressor state — Russia.
Success of the Armed Forces in the south
On October 22, the Ukrainian military destroyed four more Russian ammunition depots and two Ka-52 helicopters, known under the name Alligator, in the south of the country, reported OC "South". One such helicopter costs 16 million dollars.
According to the command's calculations, the Russians lost 47 soldiers, 2 tanks, an anti-tank missile system, and 16 armored vehicles in the south in one day. The Msta-S self-propelled large-caliber howitzer and 3 more armored vehicles were damaged.
Rivneazot shutdown
In the Rivne region, due to a Russian missile attack on the region's energy infrastructure, the key workshops for the production of mineral fertilizers of the Rivneazot enterprise experienced an emergency shutdown. The environmental situation at the enterprise is within normal limits.
Rivneazot promises to fully fulfill all contractual obligations to farmers and agricultural holdings regarding the supply of mineral fertilizers in the autumn season.
New shelling
On October 22, the occupying forces again shelled Sumy and Dnipropetrovsk Oblasts, the head of the Regional Military Administration reported. As a result of the strikes, four people were injured there, and houses and other objects, including a school, were destroyed.
As a result of the shelling, a school, a kindergarten, a village council, a water tower, and a monument were damaged in the village of Khodyne, Sumy Oblast. Streets and gardens are also damaged in the village.
Fire in Russia
A fire broke out at the Perm Powder Factory in Russia. This enterprise produces projectiles for Grad and Smerch MLRS, anti-aircraft systems, and other weapons.
The media reports that the fire has already been extinguished, but there are two dead and one injured. The fire allegedly broke out in the building with the production of plastics and spread over an area of 20 square meters.
Zelenskyy's call
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that the world should make Russia understand: in the event of a nuclear attack on the decision-making center in Ukraine, there will be a proportional response in the Russian Federation.
“If there is a message that there will be a strike on the decision-making center, then the world's response should be as follows: look, if you hit Bankova, there will be a strike where you are. A strike on the one who gives the task to kill people,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
