The case of low-quality military uniforms

Law enforcement officers have pressed charges against the director of a contractor that provided low-quality military uniforms worth more than UAH 35 million ($950,000), the Interior Ministry reported. Three direct contracts were signed with the winner of public procurement. He was supposed to supply uniforms worth more than UAH 35 million, which he did.

However, during laboratory tests, experts found that the uniforms did not meet the technical requirements and could not be used for their intended purpose.

The Ministry of Defense stated that it was not involved in this procurement process. "For our part, we emphasize that the ministry professes zero tolerance for corruption," the statement said.
