Several explosions were heard in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol. Russia's puppet governor claimed a massive missile attack, and the commander of the Ukrainian Air Force thanked the pilots and sailors for their successful combat work.The explosions in Sevastopol were reported by the pro—Ukrainian Telegram channel Crimean Wind and Mikhail Razvozhayev, a Russian protege in Sevastopol.
Crimean Wind channel reported hits in the area of Kozacha Bay and Cape Fiolent, where Russian troops are stationed. The channel's subscribers also reported fire trucks and ambulances heading to Striletska Bay, the place where Russian Black Sea Fleet ships are based. Another hit, according to the Telegram channel, occurred at a special communications center of the Russian Navy.
Razvozhayev claims that as of 10:38 p.m., the Russian military had shot down more than 10 missiles. One of them allegedly hit an "office building" on Rudnev Street. This street used to be the headquarters of the Ukrainian Navy.
The puppet governor also said that missile fragments hit several buildings, including a five-story building. According to the Russian protege, a 65-year-old man was killed and four other people were injured.
In addition, Crimean Wind reported a fire near the airport in Simferopol.
Amid reports of a missile attack on Sevastopol, Air Force Commander Mykola Oleshchuk thanked the pilots and sailors for their "successful combat work" without disclosing any details.
