Judge Artur Karpov refused Nadiia Savchenko's appeal to the court about the non-recognition of her diplomatic immunity as a member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
Lawyers were insisting that any opened case against a defendant should be suspended at the moment of him/her becoming a member of PACE. The judge agreed with the prosecutor and stated that Savchenko was arrested before the election, therefore she cannot be freed.
Today, on May 11th Nadiia marks her 34th birthday.
