The US has handed over anti-radar missiles to Ukraine within previous military aid packagessays Pentagon. It is possibly AGM-88 HARM air-to-surface anti-radar missiles with a range of over 100 km and up to 300 km, depending on modifications and conditions of the use.

The Pentagon also stated that the US and allies also helped Ukraine with spare parts and other details to lift more Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter aircraft into the sky.

Finland to provide training to the Armed Forces of Ukraine as part of UK-led training programsays Finland Ministry of Defence. The country will send approximately 20 service personnel to the United Kingdom to take part in a training program for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Former US President Donald Trump claims that the FBI searched his Mar-a-Lago residence in Florida. Trump called it a "raid" and said FBI agents "broke into his safe."

The search was focused on materials that Trump took from the White House when leaving the presidency. According to The New York Times, these boxes contained many pages of classified documents.

Russian forces continued shelling Sumy Oblast on August 8, launching 130 attacks on the region. A local resident died from a shrapnel wound in the neck due to a Russian attack, reports the Head of Sumy Regional Military Administration.

The Association of Families of Defenders of Azovstal appealed to international organizations to prevent the Russian occupiers from holding a fake tribunal over Ukrainian prisoners of war. They emphasized that an "international tribunal" is impossible in a pseudo-republic that is not recognized in the world.

The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, called on Western countries to ban all Russian travelers in response to the Russian attempts to annex new Ukrainian territories.

The President says that the current sanctions against Russia are weak. Zelensky believes that a stronger restriction would be the closing of borders to Russian citizens for one year and a full embargo on the purchase of Russian energy.

The Pentagon says Russia lost 70-80,000 personnel since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The US Defense Department says that casualties from Russian forces are "remarkable" as Russia has "achieved none of Vladimir Putin's objectives" since invading Ukraine at the end of February.

The Ukrainian forces attacked a concentration of Russian occupiers on the southern front in Kherson Oblastsays the Operational Command South. During the past day, the enemy lost at least 23 soldiers and 8 pieces of equipment. The Command also adds that the situation on the southern front is "steadily tense."
