The Ukrainian government has dismissed the head of the State Tax Service, Serhiy Verlanov, and head of the Customs Service, Max Nefyodov.

This was reported by a source of NV Business in the Cabinet, as well as BBC News Ukraine, and was also announced by former prime minister Oleksiy Honcharuk and former Economy Minister Tymofiy Milovanov, who wrote about the dismissals on their social media pages.

Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal later also confirmed the news.

According to Shmyhal's post on Telegram, Nefyodov's deputies Robert Zeldi, Denys Shendryk and Serhiy Petukhov were also discharged.

Dmytro Ventsikovskyi was dismissed from his position as deputy head of the State Fiscal Service.

Oddly enough, former finance minister Ihor Umansky was dismissed on March 30 for allegedly attempting to get the two aforementioned officials fired.
