I Appreciate the Way Ukraine Dealt with PS752 News - EU Ambassador to Ukraine

The EU Ambassador to Ukraine, Matti Maasikas, has commendedthe way Ukraine hasbeen dealing withthe news and the consequences of the PS752 flight downing that killed 176 people earlier this month.
The EU Ambassador to Ukraine, Matti Maasikas, has commended the way Ukraine has been dealing with the news and the consequences of the PS752 flight downing that killed 176 people earlier this month.
"I would say that I very much appreciated the way that Ukrainian authorities have dealt with this extremely complex situation," Maasikas said."The EU has been consistent in, has called on the Iranian authorities to cooperate. And we have worked quite well with the Ukrainian authorities in that sense as well."
"You have our full support... Justice needs to be done," the ambassador said.
The Ukraine International Airlines' Boeing 737-800 crashed after departing from Imam Khomeini International Airport on the outskirts of Tehran in the early hours of January 8.

Among the victims of the crash were 11 Ukrainians – 9 crew members and two passengers. Citizens from six more countries were also killed in the incident: 82 Iranians, 63 Canadians, 10 Swedes, 4 Afghans, and as well as 3 Germans and 3 U.K. citizens. After initially blasting any news and accusations of their involvement, the Iranian authorities finally claimed responsibility for the downing three days later, on January 11. The authorities' statement cited "human error" caused by American "adventurism" as the factor that led to the tragic incident.

Ukraine is carrying out an investigation into the downing and the recorders from the flight will be decoded in Ukraine with the help from the Civil Aviation Safety Investigation Authority.
