How IDPs With Disabilities Evacuated the Donbas Region

The number of people displaced by the conflict in eastern Ukraine surges to 800,000, the approx. 500,000 displaced who have remained in Ukraine face enormous difficulties finding a home and a job to support themselves. For internally displaced people (IDPs) with disabilities and their families, there are added obstacles of trying to receive disability pensions without a permanent address and earning enough money to pay for medication, or access to healthcare.Hromadske TV spoke with several IDPs with disabilities and their families who are temporarily living in the southwestern city of Odesa about the challenges they face. They have been placed in a sanatorium. The administrators cannot pay the bills for the rent however.
