The number of deoccupied settlements is gradually increasing: as of April 19, 919 settlements have been liberated. President Zelensky said that as of May 14, the number increased to 1,015.
370 liberated towns and villages have already been completely demined, while emergency workers continue demining in others.
In the deoccupied territories of Kyiv, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy, and Zhytomyr Oblasts, work on the restoration of residential buildings and social infrastructure has already started. As of June 3, 1,194 facilities have been completely restored.
Road connections resumed in more than 700 settlements, Ukrainian banks have resumed operation in more than 300 Ukrainian towns and villages, and food shops reopened n in 600 settlements. Medical institutions operate in 26% of the occupied territories.
The settlements in Kyiv, Chernihiv, and Sumy Oblast were completely liberated from the Russian troops in early May. Now, Ukrainian forces are counterattacking and liberating territories in Kharkiv, Kherson, and other regions of Ukraine.
