Investigation of deadly shooting in Dnipro, successes at front, mass attack on Russia: highlights

The Patrol Police Department has announced that it will assist the investigation into the incident in Dnipro, when a patrol policeman shot and killed a man who was behaving aggressively after his car was stopped. Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko emphasized the need for an objective investigation, while calling on citizens to comply with the law.

According to Ukrainska Pravda, 2.48 ppm of alcohol was found in the blood of the man who was fatally wounded. Journalists' sources say that the policeman fired three shots: one bullet missed the target, two were in the man's back. It is currently unknown whether he made a warning shot.
Skhemy also learned that the woman who was driving the car at the time of the police stop is being charged under Article 348 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - attempted murder of a law enforcement officer.
Massive drone attack on Russia
A fire broke out at the airport in Pskov Oblast after a drone attack. The occupiers reported that four Il-76 aircraft were damaged. Later, the intelligence service said that four Russian Il-76 aircraft were destroyed in Pskov, and it is not clear how many more were damaged.
In Bryansk Oblast, Russians allegedly destroyed three aircraft-type drones. An administrative building caught fire in Bryansk.
In Kaluga Oblast, one drone was destroyed, the other hit an empty oil tank. The fire has already been extinguished.
The Russians also claimed to have shot down drones in Ryazan and Orel oblasts and Moscow Oblast. There were no casualties as a result of the attacks.
Successes at the front
Ukrainian troops are making progress in two areas: Novodanylivka - Novoprokopivka and Mala Tokmachka - Verbove in Zaporizhzhya Oblast, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported. The defense forces are now consolidating their positions.
It also became known that yesterday, on August 29, the Security Service of Ukraine "organized" another blast for Kadyrov's men and collaborators who decided to hold "elections" in the temporarily occupied part of Zaporizhzhya Oblast. Ukrainian drones targeted a so-called polling station in the town of Kamyanka-Dniprovska, where more than 30 collaborators gathered in one place.
Attack on Ukraine
In the early hours of August 30, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with air-launched cruise missiles and attack drones. A total of 44 enemy air targets were spotted in the sky. Only one Shahed suicide drone failed to be shot down.
The occupiers launched a massive attack on Kyiv. First, they used several groups of attack drones, and later launched missiles. The falling debris killed two people - security guards of one of the enterprises. Three other people were injured, two of them hospitalized.

In one of the districts of Kyiv Oblast, drone debris damaged more than six private houses. A 69-year-old woman sustained burns, while a 43-year-old and a 49-year-old man also suffered minor cuts. In another district of the region, private estates were damaged by a Russian attack.
In Zhytomyr Oblast, the wreckage of a downed drone partially damaged an infrastructure facility and a railroad track, and fires broke out. There were no casualties.
The Air Defense Forces shot down one missile over Cherkasy Oblast and eight more over Odesa Oblast.
Man takes wife and daughter hostage in Chornomorsk
In the city of Chornomorsk, Odesa Oblast, a 29-year-old man held his wife and young daughter by force and threatened to harm them.
The police negotiated with the man. Eventually, they reported that the attacker was detained and the woman and child were released.

Detention of fitness trainer who humiliated military personnel
The SBU, together with the police, detained a fitness trainer and blogger Roman Zavoloka in Poltava, who publicly insulted the Ukrainian military. Photos of his detention, where the man's face was covered in blood, were shared on social media.
The SBU notes that Zavoloka has repeatedly provoked and foul-mouthed officials of the local military enlistment office. But after the last, most high-profile case, where the blogger and his friend made fun of the soldier because of his trembling hands after a concussion, Zavoloka tried to hide from justice.
