Urban settlements will disappear
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law according to which, instead of “urban-type settlements”, “settlements” will appear in Ukraine.
According to the law, a settlement “is a compact place of residence outside a populated area that does not have a stable population composition”.
At the same time, the law defined the concepts of city, town, and village. A city can be called a settlement with predominantly compact, multi-story buildings and at least 10 thousand inhabitants.
