The Ukrainian Armed Forces liberated the village of Vysokopillia in Kherson Olbast, the largest caravan since the beginning of the "grain agreement" left Ukrainian seaports, and the occupying forces shelled Kharkiv Oblast several times. Here is our selection of today's key news.

Ukrainian flag over Vysokopillia

The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated the village of Vysokopillia in Kherson Oblast, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko said. It had been occupied by Russian troops since March 16.

The largest grain caravan

On September 4, the largest caravan left Ukrainian seaports since the beginning of the "grain agreement" — 13 ships at once. 6 vessels departed from the Pivdennyi port, five from Chornomorsk, and two from the Odesa port. They transported a total of 282,500 tons of Ukrainian agricultural products. They should be delivered to eight countries of the world.

According to the Ministry of Infrastructure, since the beginning of the "grain agreement" 86 vessels have left Ukrainian ports. They went to 19 countries of the world, delivering 2 million tons of agricultural products.

Meeting of the General Headquarters

On September 4, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held another meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. During the meeting, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, the commanders of the operational areas and the head of intelligence Kyrylo Budanov reported on the situation on the front line.

"There is no weekend in war. We are in constant contact with those on the front lines. I will not tell you the details, but the Ukrainian flags are returning to where they should be by right. And occupiers have no place on our land," Zelenskyy said following the meeting.

Shelling of Kharkiv Oblast

The occupying forces shelled Kharkiv Oblast several times during the day. After the night shelling of Kharkiv City, Russians hit the region twice. A 50-year-old woman died in the village of Odnorobivka of the Zolochiv community as a result of shelling after a shell hit her house. At the same time, in the village of Andriyivka, Izyum district, three civilians were wounded by shelling. They were hospitalized in Kharkiv region hospitals.

And in the evening, the occupiers shelled Kharkiv again: they hit the Kholodnohirskyi and Novobavarskyi districts of the city. As a result, two people were hospitalized.

Attacks on other cities

According to the calculations of the General Staff, on September 4, the enemy launched at least 14 missile and more than 15 air strikes on military and civilian objects of Ukraine. In particular, civilian infrastructure was affected in Mykolaiv, Voznesensk, Ochakiv and Sukhyi Stavok districts.

In Mykolaiv, residential buildings, schools, and medical facilities came under fire, in Nikopol, an electric transmission line was disabled due to shelling by Russians, and in Ochakiv, dozens of buildings were damaged and an elevator with thousands of tons of grain was destroyed.

The situation at the front

In the evening, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said that the Ukrainian military repelled the attacks of the occupiers near Krasnopillia, Bakhmutske, Bakhmut, Mayorsk, Zaytseve, Kodema, Soledar and Pervomaiske. At the same time, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out 12 airstrikes against Russian personnel, equipment and facilities.

The occupying forces look for weaknesses in the defense of the Ukrainian army, try to improve the tactical position and often conduct aerial reconnaissance using drones.

Losses of the occupiers

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the Russian Federation has lost approximately 49,500 of its troops, 2,049 tanks and 4,430 armored fighting vehicles in Ukraine. Over the past day, the Ukrainian military destroyed 450 invaders, 15 tanks, 27 anti-aircraft missiles, 13 artillery systems, a warplane, a helicopter and other equipment.

During the past day, the enemy suffered the greatest losses on the Donetsk and Kryvyi Rih axes.
