“Millions” of dollars from Israel for “strategic equipment” for Ukraine

Under pressure from the U.S. administration, Israel has agreed to finance millions of dollars worth of “strategic material” to assist Ukraine's war effort. This is reported by Haaretz with reference to three senior European diplomatic officials.

According to media reports, the United States appealed to the Israeli government several weeks ago to Tel Aviv to work with the West to counteract Russia. The Americans wanted Israel to supply Ukraine with anti-aircraft batteries, but after negotiations, the countries agreed that Israel would finance strategic materials instead.

According to Haaretz, a payment of several million dollars was transferred to a NATO member state, which is actively engaged in the supply of military equipment to Ukraine. This country then purchased strategic materials and sent them to Ukraine.
