Missile strike on Dnipro and award for Ukrainian opera houses: last night's highlights

Russians hit Dnipro at night: a fire broke out in a private enterprise; two Ukrainian opera houses won awards at the International Opera Awards. Here is what you may have missed from the previous night.

Missile attack on Dnipro

On the night of November 29, Russian occupation forces launched a missile attack on the city of Dnipro. The hit occurred in a private enterprise, a fire started, said the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration Valentyn Reznichenko.

Russians struck at Dnipro. They sent several missiles to the night city. They hit a private enterprise. Production facilities were destroyed. A fire broke out,” he wrote.

Shelling of Kherson Oblast

In one week, the Russian occupation troops fired 258 times at thirty settlements of Kherson Oblast, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

This is the true essence of those accidental "comrades" who took over Russia. After 20 years of rule, they have such devastation in a significant part of their own state as if there was a war there. And this is not a war — they went through it,” Zelenskyy said.

Restoration of the affected heating facilities

Repairers have already restored more than half of the heating facilities that were damaged as a result of Russian shelling of Ukraine's infrastructure, Naftogaz reported.

Thanks to the coordinated actions of all services, 316 heating facilities have already been restored, which is 53.3% of the total number of affected facilities,” the statement said.

Ukrainian theaters receive awards

Lviv and Odesa National Academic Opera and Ballet Theaters won the Best Opera Theater award at the International Opera Awards ceremony in Madrid.

The two theaters resumed their performances after they were forced to suspend their work following the start of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. The jury praised the “courage and resilience” of the theatre companies as “they continued to perform despite the dangers and destruction caused by the war”.
