Missile attack on Odesa

On the morning of March 15, the Russian military attacked Odesa with two Iskander-M ballistic missiles fired from the temporarily occupied Crimea. A fire broke out at the site of the first hit. Rescuers immediately arrived at the site of the impact and began to extinguish the fire, dismantle the rubble, and search for victims. During the work, Russia launched a second missile strike.

As of 7 p.m., 20 people were reported dead. There were also 73 injuries, including locals, medics, and rescue workers.

Macron, Scholz and Tusk meet in Berlin

The Weimar Triangle talks were held in Berlin with the participation of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, French President Emmanuel Macron, and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

Scholz said the three countries are ready to "buy even more weapons for Ukraine - on the entire world market." There are also plans to expand the production of military equipment and launch a new coalition for long-range rocket artillery.

In addition, the leaders of the three countries want to use the profits from Russian assets frozen in Europe to purchase weapons for Ukraine.

Kyiv metro head resigns

The director of the Kyiv Metro, Viktor Brahinskyi, has submitted a letter of resignation. Prior to that, investigative journalists from Bihus.Info found that Brahinskyi's mother owns two apartments in the capital, and his ex-wife owns luxury real estate and a land plot.

Brahinskyi had been the head of the Kyiv Metro utility since 2014.

Ukraine returns bodies of 100 defenders

Today, March 15, Ukraine returned 100 bodies of fallen Ukrainian soldiers as part of another repatriation exercise.

After identification, the bodies will be handed over to the families for a dignified burial.

Russians attack near Avdiivka

Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi said that Russian troops have focused their main efforts on the Avdiivka axis and have been trying to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops in the three brigades' lines for several days in a row, sending assault units in vehicles and on foot into battle every day.

Threat of terrorist attacks in schools

In Zakarpattya Oblast, cyber police have blocked a Telegram channel that threatened to organize terrorist attacks in Mukachevo schools.

Law enforcement is currently looking for people involved in the creation of the channel. They have sent a request to the foreign provider. Meanwhile, the head of the Zakarpattya Oblast State Administration, Viktor Mykyta, said that additional "forces and means of law enforcement agencies" were deployed for the safety of schoolchildren under a "separate order".
