New military aid from Germany, US sanctions: highlights of November 2

Germany has allocated another military aid package for Ukraine, including radars for air defense systems. The Commander—in—Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi considers it necessary to expand the categories of citizens who can be mobilized. The United States has imposed new sanctions on approximately 230 companies and people associated with Russia. Here are today's highlights.
Military aid package from Germany
Germany has allocated another military aid package for Ukraine, which includes:
2 TRML-4D radars, which are used on anti-aircraft missile systems, including the German IRIS-T;
12 armored personnel carriers;
7 Primoco ONE reconnaissance drones;
2 AMPS helicopter self-protection systems;
5 unmanned surface vessels;
1 PCB printer (3D);
12 MAN TGS trucks;
32 SatCom satellite communication terminals;
4 truck tractor trains 8x8 HX81 and 4 semi-trailers.
The Ukrainian military will also receive 30,000 sets of winter clothing and 10,000 sets of goggles.
Forced evacuation from Kharkiv Oblast continues
Due to the difficult security situation in Kharkiv Oblast, the authorities decided to forcefully evacuate 275 children and their families from 66 settlements in the Kupyansk district.
The evacuation will last for 45 days. The authorities have set up an evacuation center and an evacuation reception center.
Zaluzhnyi on expanding the categories for mobilization
Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi considers it necessary to expand the categories of citizens who can be called up for training or mobilization. Ukraine also intends to introduce a unified register of conscripts.
According to him, this should help solve the problem of citizens evading their duties.
"We are also introducing a 'combat internship', which provides for the placement of mobilized and trained personnel in experienced combat units for their training," the Commander-in-Chief added.

US sanctions
The United States has imposed new sanctions on more than 30 people and nearly 200 companies associated with Russia. In particular, Russian government officials, the developer of the Lancet kamikaze drone, and citizens of Ireland, Sweden, Switzerland, Cyprus, Turkey, and Latvia were subject to restrictions.
The sanctions list also includes companies from Russia, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, and China. Washington says that the foreign firms produced and supplied dual-use goods.
Azov will recruit personnel through Work.ua
The Azov Special Forces Brigade will start recruiting Ukrainian servicemen through the Ukrainian employment website Work.ua.
"A person who is ready to serve should be able to choose to serve in their specialty. If you give a person the opportunity to be more effective at their workplace, their motivation rises," said the CEO of Work.ua.
Azov has already posted 71 vacancies for various positions on Work.ua. The salaries offered there range from 25,000 to 125,000 hryvnias ($691–$3,454).

MP Dubnevych put on the international wanted list
MP Yaroslav Dubnevych, who is suspected of misappropriating 93 million hryvnias ($2.57 million) from the state rail company Ukrzaliznytsia, has been put on the international wanted list. The reason for this decision was Dubnevych's failure to appear at hearings and reports that he was abroad.
According to the Anti-Corruption Action Center, the prosecutor said that the defendant crossed the Romanian border with Hungary on October 8, 2023. It is not known where he is now, Europol replied to the request of the Ukrainian authorities.

An unsuccessful Russian offensive attempt
The Russian occupation forces attempted an offensive near Vuhledar, while the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled the attack. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces inflicted heavy losses on the occupiers: dozens of vehicles, many killed and wounded.
He also said that defensive actions in Avdiyivka and Ukrainian offensive operations in the south are ongoing.
