Explanations from Servant of the People and Batkivshchyna

The parties Servant of the People and Batkivshchyna, which did not support the collection of votes in the Verkhovna Rada for the deprivation of the mandates of MPs from the banned Opposition Platform - For Life, explained that they wanted to do it in a constitutional way.

According to the spokeswoman Yulia Paliychuk, the Servant of the People stands for the punishment of pro-Russian forces to have a "serious legal basis", which will not cause doubts in either Ukrainian or international courts.

Yulia Tymoshenko also stressed that Batkivshchyna stands for the deprivation of the mandates of MPs from the OPFL, but "in any constitutional way".
