Searches at Dubinsky's place

Law enforcement officers searched the home of MP Oleksandr Dubinsky, who went on vacation abroad under the guise of assisting a relative who was supposed to undergo medical treatment, the Security Service of Ukraine and the State Bureau of Investigation reported.

The Security Service of Ukraine notes that although Dubinsky went abroad to accompany a relative for medical treatment, the MP's father went abroad and returned from there on his own without the actual accompaniment of the MP.

In addition, law enforcement officers are investigating how the MP could sign and send official documents, including to government agencies, while being abroad. According to the investigation, this may indicate that they were forged.

The number of domestic violence cases in Ukraine increased

After the start of Russia's full-scale invasion, the number of reported cases of domestic violence in Ukraine initially decreased as millions of people fled the hostilities. However, it is now rising dramatically again, Reuters reports, citing data from the National Police that the agency has verified.

More than a dozen officials and experts working in this area told Reuters that the increase in domestic violence cases resulted from rising stress, economic hardship, and unemployment. In most cases, the victims are women, the experts said.

Investigation in the case of Judge Tandyr completed

The State Bureau of Investigation has completed the investigation into Judge Oleksiy Tandyr. According to the investigation, he was driving drunk and hit a serviceman at a checkpoint in Kyiv. The guardsman died on the spot. Oleksiy Tandyr also tried to hide his state of intoxication. In total, 18 examinations were conducted, including forensic, chemical, technical, and other examinations.

"Since the judge has the special professional knowledge, methods, and extensive judicial practice in dealing with road safety offenses, when taking biological samples, he tried to distort their contents to conceal the state of intoxication," the State Bureau of Investigation said.

Nevertheless, forensic examinations confirmed the alcohol content in the samples provided, the SBI added. In addition, the state of intoxication was also confirmed by the conclusions of other examinations.
