The number of victims of the attack on Vyshhorod has increased
The number of casualties as a result of the missile attack by the Russian occupation troops on November 23 in Vyshhorod, Kyiv Oblast, increased to six dead, and 30 more people were wounded. High-rise buildings were damaged. This was reported by the head of the regional department of the National Police Andrii Niebytov.
“The city of Vyshhorod was founded 200 years earlier than Moscow and, despite everything, will prosper when it is no longer there, because indomitable Ukrainians live here, who cannot be intimidated by missiles,” he stressed.
50 more Ukrainian servicemen are returned from Russian captivity
This was announced by the Head of the Presidential Office Andriy Yermak.
20 National Guardsmen, 10 soldiers of the Armed Forces, 6 border guards, two members of the territorial defense, and 12 soldiers of the Navy were released from captivity.
Among those who were returned are 19 defenders of Mariupol, including 12 defenders evacuated from Azovstal. Also, 15 prisoners of war from Chornobyl NPP and 7 from Zmeinyi Island were released.
The European Parliament approved the provision of 18 billion euros to Ukraine
MEPs have supported an €18 billion loan to Ukraine for 2023. This amount will cover about half of the 3-4 billion euros of monthly funding needed by Ukraine next year. This is reported on the website of the European Parliament.
The resolution was adopted by 507 votes. 38 MEPs voted against it, and another 26 abstained.
The funds will be used to support basic public services, including hospitals, schools, and housing for IDPs, macroeconomic stability, and restoration of critical infrastructure.
9 Russian torture chambers discovered in liberated Kherson Oblast
Nine torture chambers left by Russian occupants have been discovered in the liberated Kherson Oblast. This was announced by Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin during a telethon.
Moreover, 432 bodies of civilians who died during the occupation were found in the region.
Prosecutors have created a coordination headquarters for documenting and investigating war crimes. Currently, 12 joint investigative prosecutor's groups are working in Kherson Oblast.
Johnson was granted the title of honorary citizen of Kyiv
On November 24, the Kyiv City Council decided to grant former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson the title of honorary citizen of Kyiv. This was announced by Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
“Boris has repeatedly visited the Ukrainian capital - both in peaceful and in the most dramatic time of our struggle against the Russian aggressor,” he wrote.
Klitschko assures that Johnson has done and will continue to do everything possible to ensure that the UK and world leaders provide the necessary assistance to Ukraine.
