'Police Reform Is The Answer For Many Questions In Ukraine'

The rampant corruption in Ukraine's police force causes people to distrust the entire system of law and order in Ukraine

The rampant corruption in Ukraine's police force causes people to distrust the entire system of law and order in Ukraine, said Oleksandr Danyliuk President's Representative in Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Head of Coordination Center for Reforms. To set the country back on track, it is imperative to completely overhaul the police force as was done in Georgia, even integrating veterans of the conflict in eastern Ukraine into the ranks of the new police, Danyliuk explained.

Oleksandr Danyliuk, Sevgil Musaieva-Borovyk, the Editor-in-Chief of Ukrainskaya Pravda and Andrii Shuran, the International Program Director at the Anticorruption Center took part in a roundtable discussion during Hromadske International's Sunday Show on Dec. 14, 2014 that was moderated by co-hosts Ian Bateson and Nataliya Gumenyuk.
