Possible "smart bombs" from the USA and confiscation of Yanukovych's property: last night's highlights

The media write that the US plans to give Ukraine sets of smart bombs, the court confiscated the property of Viktor Yanukovych, and the Polish Parliament recognized Russia as a sponsor of terrorism. Here is what you may have missed from the previous night.

Possible "smart bombs" from the United States

The Washington Post writes that the Biden administration plans to send to Ukraine modern electronic equipment that turns unguided aerial munitions into “smart bombs”. They are attached to a variety of weapons and are able to hit the positions of Russian troops with high accuracy.

It is not yet known whether Biden or any of his top advisers approved the proposed transfer of such devices to Ukraine.

Confiscation of Yanukovych's property

The High Anti-Corruption Court has ruled to confiscate the property of former President Viktor Yanukovych, in particular, UAH 31 million on bank accounts and a hotel and restaurant complex in Sukholuchchia.

The Anti-Corruption Action Center writes that the residence Mezhyhiria was also confiscated. However, as the HACC spokesperson Olesia Chemerys told the RBC-Ukraine, the court decision does not apply to the Mezhyhiria: a separate hearing is planned for it.

Cooperation between Russia and Iran in space
