NYT investigation into the strike on Konstantinovka

The New York Times has published an investigation claiming that the deadly strike on the market in Kostiantynivka was the result of a malfunctioning Ukrainian air defense missile fired from a Buk launcher.

However, UP sources assured that the Ukrainian Air Force did not use Buk missiles that day. At the same time, the Armed Forces of Ukraine told us that they could not have used Buk systems either, because they simply do not have them in service.

After the NYT investigation, the Security Service of Ukraine said it was investigating the Russian shelling of the market in Kostiantynivka, and according to the investigation, the occupiers hit it with a S-300 system. A source of hromadske says that the author of this investigation has repeatedly promoted Russian narratives.

According to the latest official data, 16 people were killed and 34 were injured in the attack in Kostiantynivka on September 6. The attack also damaged several retail outlets, two high-rise buildings, a pharmacy, and a bank.
