Germany recognized the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people. An explosion occurred at the Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid. Russian occupation troops shelled the center of Kherson. We have collected the key news for today.

Germany recognized the Holodomor as genocide of the Ukrainian people

The German Bundestag adopted a resolution recognizing the Holodomor as a genocide of the Ukrainian people. This is stated on the Bundestag website.

On November 30, a vote was held for the resolution “Holodomor in Ukraine: Remember - Honor – Prevent”. The proposal was approved by the majority, although AfD and Die Linke abstained.

With this resolution, Germany recognized that the mass famine of the 1930s was not the result of crop failure, but the responsibility of the political leadership of the Soviet Union under the leadership of Joseph Stalin.

Situation at the frontline

Russian occupation forces continue to conduct offensive actions in the Bakhmut sector. In other areas, the occupiers are forced to defend themselves. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On November 30, the aviation of the Defense Forces conducted 15 strikes on the areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, as well as 2 strikes on the positions of enemy anti-aircraft missile systems.

Explosion at the Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid

An explosion occurred at the Ukrainian Embassy in Madrid on November 30. It is reported by Reuters citing the Spanish police.

The explosion occurred when an employee of the embassy was unpacking an envelope. He suffered minor injuries. According to the Spanish agency Efe, the embassy employee arrived at the hospital on his own. Shortly after that, he was discharged.

According to journalists' sources in the police, the envelope was addressed to the ambassador, but it was not passed through the scanner, but opened by guards in the embassy garden.

Shelling of Kherson

On the morning of November 30, the Russian occupation troops shelled the center of Kherson. This was reported by the head of the regional military administration Yaroslav Yanushevych.

A 70-year-old resident of Kherson died in her apartment due to enemy shelling. And a 64-year-old resident of Kherson was wounded when he was outside, as Russian shells were falling on the road. Russians damaged several residential buildings and medical institutions and hit a gas pipeline.

Search in Mukachevo diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate

Officers of the Security Service of Ukraine conducted counterintelligence (security) measures on the territory of one of the monasteries of the Mukachevo Diocese of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate in Zakarpattia Oblast, the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine reported.

The searches are being conducted jointly with the Patrol Police Office and the Uzhhorod Zonal Department of the Military Law Enforcement Service as part of the systematic work of the Security Service of Ukraine to counter subversive activities of Russian special services in Ukraine.
