Russia released ten foreign fighters who were defending Ukraine

On September 21, Russia released ten foreign soldiers who were captured by Russia during the war in Ukraine. This is reported by Reuters and The Guardian with reference to an official representative of Saudi Arabia.

The release of the prisoners of war took place through the mediation of the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Muhammad bin Salman. The plane with the military has already landed in his country.

Among those released are citizens of the USA, Great Britain, Sweden, Croatia, and Morocco. In Saudi Arabia, they say that they are already cooperating with the countries of which these people are citizens. Their names are not mentioned.

Attack on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast

On the evening of September 21, the Russian occupying forces launched a missile attack on Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. This was reported by the head of the Regional Military Administration Valentyn Reznichenko.

 “One person was killed. Preliminarily, two were injured,” he emphasized.

This is not the first shelling of the region during the day. Thus, on the afternoon of September 21, the occupiers fired missiles at an infrastructure facility and an agricultural enterprise. There is destruction. According to preliminary data, no one was injured.

Strike on infrastructure facilities in Zaporizhzhia

On the afternoon of September 21, Russian troops launched a missile attack on Zaporizhzhia. This was reported by the secretary of the Zaporizhzhia City Council, Anatolii Kurtiev, and the head of the Zaporizhia Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Starukh.

Infrastructure facilities and detached houses were affected. Two shells hit a field on the outskirts of the city. It is known about three victims. One of them was diagnosed with a contusion, his condition is stable.

Attack on Kurakhove

On the night of September 21, Russian troops launched a missile attack on Kurakhove in Donetsk Oblast. This was announced by the head of Donetsk Regional Military Administration, Pavlo Kyrylenko.

In general, the occupiers are firing along the entire front line in Donetsk Oblast. A rocket hit a house in Kurakhove. 12 people were injured. Among the injured are two children.

Verkhovna Rada condemned Russian pseudo-referendums and nuclear threats

On September 21, Verkhovna Rada deputies approved a resolution condemning Russia's intention to hold pseudo-referendums in the occupied territories. People's deputies Yaroslav Zhelezniak and Oleksii Honcharenko informed about it.

In total, 272 people's deputies voted for the resolution. In addition to pseudo-referendums, the parliamentarians condemned Russian nuclear threats and other violations of the principles and norms of international law.

Situation at the front

During the day, units of Ukrainian troops repelled enemy attacks in the areas of Kupiansk, Vesele, Zaitseve, Kurdiumivka, and Bakhmutske settlements. This is reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces.

To support the actions of the ground groups, the aviation of Ukraine carried out 32 strikes on enemy positions: it was confirmed that 17 areas of concentration of enemy manpower and military hardware, 4 strongholds, 10 positions of anti-aircraft missile systems, and one warehouse with ammunition were hit. In addition, air defense units destroyed one cruise missile and 3 enemy UAVs.

Missile troops and artillery inflicted fire damage on 22 enemy objects, in particular on 7 control points of various levels and 13 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military hardware. Ammunition depots, air defense facilities, and pontoon crossings of the occupiers fell into the affected area.

Occupiers in Kharkiv Oblast smashed a stone Polovtsian baba, who is a thousand years old

This was announced by the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine. The unique monument stood on Mount Kremenets near the city of Izium for a thousand years.

Currently, 8 out of 9 stone Polovtsian baba have been preserved, one was destroyed by an almost direct shell hit, and a monument to the heroes of the Second World War was also destroyed nearby.

Together with local administrations, we will most likely evacuate Polovtsian babas to Kharkiv and help the museum restore the rooftop to preserve the exposition,” said Culture Minister Oleksandr Tkachenko.
