Remembering Victims Of Nazism In Kyiv Babi Yar, Ukraine

Kyiv residents laid flowers in memory of the victims killed in Babi Yar, a rivine in Kyiv Ukraine where German forced and local collaborators carried out a series of mass executions during WWII.
"I was 3 and a half years old and I spent 2 and a half years there, behind the barbed wire, so I remember everything”, told Hromadske 77-year-old Halyna Mykolaivna. When the terror was over, she started going to school, “I remember sitting at the desk, other children laughing at something, but I couldn’t. I was like an elderly woman. I matured rapidly”.
