Russia's Ministry of Defense has announced drills involving thermonuclear armed intercontinental ballistic missile Yars (Nuclear Deterrence Rocket), reports BBC Russian Bureau.

Drills involving mobile missile launchers Yars are carried out in Russian Ivanovo Oblast. The Russian Federation stated that more than a thousand service members and more than 100 units of equipment are involved.

"Rocket troops are working on bringing missile systems to field positions, conducting marches of up to 100 km, dispersal of units with changing field positions, their engineering equipment, organization of camouflage and combat protection," the Russian Defense Ministry said.

According to the RF, the Russian military will "detect, block and destroy" alleged saboteurs using anti-sabotage armored vehicles Typhoon-M.

The PC-24 Yars is a Russian road-mobile and silo-based solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missile with independently targetable warheads.

According to the BBC, Yars missile exercises were conducted in early April and mid-February, a few days before a full-scale war against Ukraine. Leaders of Russia and Belarus, Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko, were present at those drills.

Scheduled exercises involving military commissariats will also take place in the Gomel Oblast in Belarus from June 22 to July 1. During the drills, the movement in certain territories adjacent to the Armed Forces of Belarus facilities will be restricted.

Military training with conscripts assigned to territorial troops is also scheduled in Zhlobin District of Belarus from June 28 to July 16. At this time, the organization of protection and defense of territorial defense objects, implementation of martial law measures, as well as "fight against sabotage and reconnaissance groups" will be worked out.
