Russian shelling of Zaporizhzhia Oblast on July 12 destroyed at least 1.4 thousand hectares (approx. 3,500 acres) of crops and local infrastructure, reports National Police.
In Polohy Raion of Zaporizhzhia Oblast, several cluster munitions damaged some 20 civil infrastructure facilities and destroyed more than 600 hectares of grain crops, including wheat, rapeseed, barley, and rapeseed.
Russian phosphorous and rocket shells destroyed another 800 hectares of crops in the fields of Mala Tokmachka in Orikhiv Raion.

People in the villages of Polohy and Vasylivka Raions were injured by Russian rocket attacks and were hospitalized with injuries of varying degrees of severity. The Russian fire also damaged the private houses in Hulyaipole.
Situation in Zaporizhzhia Oblast
In Zaporizhzhia axis, the Russian forces are concentrating their main efforts on holding their positions. Over the past day, on July 12, the occupiers shelled Ukrainian positions 51 times, using tank guns, rocket, and cannon artillery along the entire line of contact.
According to the National Police of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast, during the past day, the Russian forces shelled civilian infrastructure in the areas of the settlements of Mala Tokmachka, Prymorske, Hulyaipole, and Kamianske. The police received 27 reports on the destruction of civilian infrastructure objects.
Despite this, on July 12, the civilian population was evacuated from the temporarily occupied territory: 1,172 people were evacuated, including 301 children.
On July 13, Russian troops launched two strikes on Zaporizhzhia and targeted one of the city's enterprises injuring at least 7 people.
