Russians in sports, new agreements with Turkey's Baykar, shelling with casualties: highlights of the day
Russians and Belarusians were allowed to compete in two more sports, Ukraine signed new agreements with Turkey's Baykar, Germany handed over the second IRIS—T SLM air defense system, and Russians keep shelling Ukraine. We have collected the main news for the day.
New agreements with Turkish Baykar
Two Ukrainian defense companies have signed three new agreements with the Turkish company Baykar, which produces the famous Bayraktars. They will strengthen Ukraine's defense industry and provide Ukraine with export revenues and new-generation weapons, Strategic Industry Minister Alexander Kamyshin assured.

New military aid
The German government has confirmed the transfer of the second IRIS-T SLM anti-aircraft missile system to Ukraine. Over the past week, Ukraine also received eight Zetros trucks and two 8x6 forklifts with eight containers from Germany.
In addition, France has promised to provide Ukraine with a "powerful armored package," Volodymyr Zelenskyy said after a phone conversation with Emmanuel Macron.
Russians in sports
Ukraine has decided to boycott the World Judo Championships because Russians and Belarusians were allowed to compete under a neutral flag — even those Russian athletes who are members of the Russian army.
Meanwhile, Russians and Belarusians were allowed to compete in another sport — canoeing. These are only those athletes who do not support Russian aggression against Ukraine, and only under a neutral flag.
Situation at frontline
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that during the day, Ukrainian troops repelled more than 20 Russian attacks on the Bakhmut, Avdiyivka and Maryinka axes. The occupiers unsuccessfully tried to advance in the direction of Ivanivske, as well as in the areas of Avdiyivka and Pervomaiske.
Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Malyar said that this week the Russians had minor gains in some sectors of the frontline, but the Ukrainian military regained the lost positions. According to her, the enemy is not able to take control of the city, despite the fact that it has thrown all its resources into the battle and "had success in some places."
Shelling with casualties
In the afternoon, Russian troops fired again at Kherson Oblast. In the village of Odradokamyanka, the enemy hit a residential building as a result of which a 58-year-old woman died on the spot. In Bilozerka, residential buildings came under fire from Russian artillery: a 29-year-old man was seriously injured.
In addition, Russians shelled the city of Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk Oblast twice in one day. A 48-year-old local was killed, a 46-year-old woman and an 80-year-old man were wounded.

Budapest responds to Zelenskyy's criticism
Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó has said that his country has paid an "extremely high price" for the war in Ukraine. This comes in response to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who criticized Budapest for Hungary's behavior and relations with Russia, which are not in line with its status as a NATO member.
"Fortunately, he is not the one to decide this... If this statement means: 'I respectfully thank the Hungarians for letting in and taking care of more than a million refugees from Ukraine, and I respectfully thank you for continuously sending aid!' ", then 'They are welcome and can count on us in the future as well'," Szijjarto wrote.
