Russians will probably try to take control of Kharkiv-Donetsk route – British intelligence

Control of the E40 highway, which connects Donetsk and Kharkiv, is likely to be an important objective for Russia as it attempts to advance through the Donetsk Oblast, according to the report of British intelligence published on July 10.

It is also noted that Russian artillery continues to strike the Slovyansk district of Donbas from the Izyum area. Intelligence also says that Russian troops have probably launched new minor offensives around Popasna.

The situation at the front

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports that on the Kharkiv axis the enemy is concentrating its main efforts on preventing the advance of Ukrainian troops.

On the Slovyansk axis, the enemy fired at the positions of Ukrainian defenders, carried out combat reconnaissance with an assault group near the settlement of Dolyna, albeit unsuccessfully, and had to withdraw.

The enemy did not conduct active operations on the Kramatorsk axis. The movement of individual units towards Bilohorivka was observed.
