Shelling of Kherson Oblast and return of bodies of fallen Ukrainian fighters: today's highlights

Bills on the extension of martial law and mobilization

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine draft laws on the extension of martial law in Ukraine and general mobilization. This is indicated in the table of draft laws submitted to the Verkhovna Rada.

The relevant bills were registered on November 8 under registration numbers 8189 and 8190. Currently, they have been submitted for consideration.

Success of the Ukrainian army

On November 8, Ukrainian aviation carried out 16 strikes against the enemy. Four command and control points, 8 areas of concentration of occupants, their weapons and military hardware, as well as four positions of air defense facilities were hit. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in a report as of 18:00 on November 8.

During the day, Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit four areas of concentration of manpower, weapons, and military hardware of the enemy.

Shelling of Kherson Oblast

Russian military shelled Kherson Oblast in the afternoon of November 8. As a result, two people suffered shrapnel wounds. This was reported by Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Kyrylo Tymoshenko.

The occupation troops fired using multiple rocket launchers. In particular, the village of Velyka Oleksandrivka came under fire.

Another 38 bodies of fallen Ukrainian servicemen returned home

On November 8, the bodies of 38 fallen Ukrainian defenders were returned to their families. This was reported by the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.

The operation was carried out in cooperation with the Commissioner for Missing Persons, Oleh Kotenko, and several law enforcement agencies of Ukraine. The process of returning the bodies is carried out in accordance with the Geneva Convention.

Parts of Iranian drones were manufactured after a full-scale invasion

Representatives of the military intelligence of Ukraine found information that may indicate that Iranian drones were supplied to Russia after February 24. This was reported by the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
