Shelling of Kryvyi Rih, return of Ukrainian children and seizure of Kolomoisky's assets: highlights of September 8

Shelling of Kryvyi Rih
The Russian military launched a missile attack on the city of Kryvyi Rih. As a result, one person was killed. Another 73 were injured. The head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Serhiy Lysak, said that 35 of the injured are in hospital. The condition of a 34-year-old and two 28-year-old men is still assessed as serious.
"In the city, among other things, 62 apartment buildings and 7 detached houses were damaged. More than fifty cars were damaged. Utilities are still clearing the area of debris. Almost 210 tons of destroyed structures have been removed," he wrote.

Russian troops attacked the detached houses area of Sumy with a missile in the morning. Four people are known to have been injured. One person is in hospital in serious condition. There were no fatalities. One house was destroyed, and many others were damaged. The liquidation headquarters has already received 89 reports of property damage.

Russian troops also dropped a bomb on Odradokamianka, Kherson region. Three civilians were reported dead - two women and a man. Four more local residents were injured.

Seizure of Kolomoisky's assets
The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau have seized the assets of the former beneficial owner of PrivatBank, Ihor Kolomoisky, for 48 hours. At the same time, law enforcement officers filed a motion to seize the businessman's property with the High Anti-Corruption Court.
The NABU explained that according to the law, this is the maximum period of arrest that the bureau and the prosecutor's office can impose.
In a comment to hromadske, the SAPO explained that the temporary arrest is a safeguard against embezzlement of this property until the court considers the petition filed by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
"Katyusha" in the destroyed Mariupol Drama Theater
Chinese opera singer Wang Fan performed the Soviet war song "Katyusha" in the destroyed drama theater of the temporarily occupied Mariupol, where more than 600 people were killed in a Russian attack last year.
"Ukraine respects the territorial integrity of China and expects the Chinese side to explain the purpose of the Chinese citizens' stay in Mariupol, as well as the way they got to the temporarily occupied Ukrainian city," the diplomatic agency said.
In addition, the Foreign Ministry is initiating a ban on entry to Ukraine for these Chinese tourists.
