Charges to representatives of UOC-MP
During the war, the Security Service of Ukraine has already served 33 suspicions of aiding Russia to representatives of the UOC-Moscow Patriarchate. Among them there are agents for collecting information and fire adjusters, stated Acting Head of the SBU Vasyl Malyuk.
Introduction of stricter restrictions on electricity supply
On the night of October 27, Russian occupation forces struck the energy infrastructure in the central regions. To prevent a complete blackout, stricter restrictions on electricity supply are being introduced there.
Harsher restrictions may be in Kyiv, Kyiv, Chernihiv, Cherkasy and Zhytomyr Oblasts. The duration of the necessary electricity restrictions will depend on the current situation in the power system.
Increase in defense spending
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a law that provides for an increase in defense spending by 386.9 billion hryvnias ($10.5 billion) in 2022.
The authors of the law say that the increase in expenditures will allow to carry out urgent tasks in the field of national security and defense and measures to repel Russia's armed aggression, as well as to fulfill the state's obligations to pay military personnel.
Criminal case against Russian Ombudsperson
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine initiates a criminal case against the Russian Ombudsman. She admitted that she had illegally "adopted" a boy from Mariupol and facilitated the illegal adoption of about 350 other children from the occupied parts of Donbas in Russia. At the same time, the commissioner did not specify whether the boy had any living relatives in Ukraine and what happened to his parents.
Successes of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
On October 27, the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down a Russian helicopter and an aircraft: according to preliminary information, a Ka-52 Alligator and a Su-25 attack aircraft.
In addition, the Aviation of the Defense Forces conducted 14 strikes on the clusters of manpower, weapons and military equipment. Units of missile troops and artillery hit two clusters of manpower, weapons and military equipment of the occupiers, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine noted.
Discovery of mass grave in Kharkiv Oblast
A mass grave was found in Borova district, Kharkiv Oblast. It contains at least 17 bodies - civilian and military.
Locals say that the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers who were killed in battle were buried here. The Russians did not put any marks on the graves and did not allow the villagers to do it. People were allowed to come there only on Easter.
Renaming of place names in Kyiv
In the capital, more than 40 place names were renamed, whose names of were associated with Russia or the Soviet past. Now, in particular, Skryabin Lane and Levin and Lukyanenko streets will appear in Kyiv.
Questions to Putin
Putin was asked whether he underestimated Ukraine when deciding to launch a full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
He did not agree with this: "For eight years we have been creating a fortified area to a fairly great depth in Donbas. Of course, to go there and constantly suffer losses is groundless and senseless". He also added that Russia allegedly could not delay a full-scale invasion because Ukraine continued to build its fortifications.
Situation at the frontline
Russia during the retreat from the west bank of Kherson Oblast may resort to terrorist attacks with the explosion of residential areas in the region and explosions at the nuclear power plant, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces. They also do not rule out another Russian attempt to attack Kyiv, but do not see such a threat yet.
