Strike on market in Donetsk, attack on marine terminal in Russia: highlights for January 21
Russians accused the Ukrainian military of a strike on Donetsk that killed 27 people. The Ukrainian Armed Forces denied any involvement. The occupation authorities of Donetsk said that on the morning of January 21, a market in the Tekstylnyk neighborhood was hit, killing 28 people and injuring 30 others. The occupiers accused the Ukrainian military of the attack.
The Tavria operational-strategic troop grouping responded to the accusations and explained that the forces under their command "did not engage in combat operations with weapons of destruction in this case."
Strike on a Russian aircraft factory
Overnight, Ukrainian drones attacked a Russian aircraft factory in Smolensk Oblast. The plant produces and repairs aircraft and other military equipment, including X-59 cruise missiles of various modifications. According to hromadske's source, hits were recorded.
Police found people who threatened journalist Nikolov
Police said they had identified five people involved in the unlawful actions against Yuriy Nikolov, a journalist with the Nashi Hroshi project, whose apartment was broken into by unknown persons. According to the investigation, residents of Kyiv, Zhytomyr, and Cherkasy oblasts were involved in the offense.
