Success of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the south
Over the previous days, the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a building in Kakhovka, Kherson Oblast, where up to 200 Russian servicemen were stationed. The consequences of the attack are being carefully concealed by the occupants, strict administrative and police measures are being taken in the town. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukrainian military confirmed the destruction of a large convoy of Russian military hardware near Radensk in the Oleshky community of Kherson Oblast. Enemy losses are being clarified.
Shelling in Sumy Oblast
On November 6, Russian occupation troops attacked the Vorozhba community of Sumy Oblast with 72 shells. This is reported by the head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Dmytro Zhyvytskyi.
According to Zhyvytskyi, at noon, the Russians fired at the community using cannon artillery: the buildings were hit. Then the community was shelled with multiple rocket launchers, the head of the Regional Military Administration said.
During one of the shelling, a fragment killed a local 62-year-old woman who was in the garden. The shell exploded a few meters away from her. Another local woman was wounded.
A minibus with Ukrainians overturned in Poland
On the morning of November 5, a minibus with six Ukrainians overturned in Poland. Because of this, a 13-year-old boy died, and a 6-year-old child and her mother were hospitalized. This was reported by the Polish media RMF24 and Wiadomości.
The accident occurred at about 4:00 on the A4 highway near the city of Tarnów. The minibus was heading towards Rzeszów. A 6-year-old child was seriously injured. Three more passengers were also hospitalized.
Proposal for an aid package for Ukraine from the European Commission
President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen informed President Volodymyr Zelenskyy that this week she would propose to approve a financial assistance package for Ukraine worth 18 billion euros. This was reported by the European Commission.
Back in October, it became known that the leaders of the European Union countries gave the “green light” to the plan of financial support for Ukraine in the amount of 1.5 billion euros per month until 2023. This means that the total amount of financial assistance for the next year from the EU is 18 billion euros. After the official announcement of the European Commission's proposal, the decision should be made by the European Parliament.
Occupants' attacks in Donetsk Oblast
On November 5, the police of Donetsk Oblast documented 14 Russian war crimes. Avdiivka, Toretsk, Velyka Novosilka, Pivnichne, Karlivka, Netailove, and Umanske were affected. This was reported by the regional department of the National Police.
The occupants used Uragan, Grad MLRS, and artillery against civilians. 21 civilian facilities were destroyed and damaged: 18 residential buildings, an administrative building of the city territorial community, an outbuilding, and a car.
Two rocket attacks on Lyman and Grad MLRS shelling of Avdiivka were documented. Russian shells hit the houses of the residents. According to preliminary data, people were not injured. The enemy attacked Toretsk with Uragan MLRS and artillery. As the result, civilians were killed and wounded, four houses were damaged.
