Successes of Armed Forces in the south, proposal to hold "energy Ramstein": last night's highlights
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed to create an energy Ramstein format for Ukraine, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed three Russian ammunition depots in the south overnight. Here is what you may have missed from the previous night.
"Energy Ramstein"
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy discussed the initiative to create an "energy Ramstein" for Ukraine with European Commissioner for Energy Kadri Simson.
"A kind of 'energy Ramstein' — funds, technical support, transformers, generators, energy carriers — is something that is vital for our protection," Zelenskyy explained.
Successes of the Armed Forces in the south
Ukrainian military destroyed three ammunition depots in the south of the country on November 1, Operational Command "South" reported. During the day, the missile and artillery units of the Armed Forces performed almost 160 fire missions.
The Ukrainian military destroyed 25 enemy troops, 3 Grad multiple rocket launchers, a self-propelled large-caliber howitzer "Akatsiya", a self-propelled artillery and mortar launcher "Nona", an anti-aircraft missile system "Tor" and 11 units of armored vehicles.
Assistance from Germany
Germany handed over 22 border guard vehicles (Grenzschutzfahrzeuge) to Ukraine. In future deliveries of aid it is planned to transfer 478 more such vehicles. In addition, Berlin handed over two trucks and 10 more heavy and medium bridge systems for the Defense Forces of Ukraine (17 in total).
According to the published list, the German government is also preparing to transfer to Ukraine armored engineering vehicles and other vehicles, anti-drone systems, 155 mm rounds and 40 mm ammunition, bridge systems, etc.
Shelling of Kharkiv Oblast
Russian occupation forces shelled the village of Petropavlivka, Kupyansk district, Kharkiv Oblast with multiple rocket launchers. As a result of the enemy attack, a 3-year-old boy was wounded — he sustained explosive injuries.
The child was taken to hospital, where he is receiving all the necessary assistance.
Suspension of immigration from Russia
Territorial bodies and subdivisions of the State Migration Service suspend acceptance and consideration of applications of Russian citizens for immigration permits.
The decision is valid for the period of martial law and for 30 calendar days from the date of its termination.
Abolition of parliamentary immunity is constitutional
The Constitutional Court of Ukraine recognized the law on the abolition of parliamentary immunity as compliant with the Constitution of Ukraine. It was challenged by 50 Ukrainian legislators.
Bail for Mykytas
The Appeal Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court changed the bail for former MP Maksym Mykytas, who was caught on a record bribe of 22 million euros. The bail was reduced from UAH 260 million ($7 million) to UAH 100 million ($2.7 million).
The decision came into force from the moment of its announcement and is not subject to appeal in cassation.
