The Italian company Danieli allegedly cooperates with the Russian war machine, says Ukraine’s Defence Ministry. Ukrainian partisan activity complicates Russian efforts to control the occupied territories, says the Institute for the Study of War (ISW). The analysts also say that Russian sources are likely setting information conditions to justify slow and unsuccessful advances towards Sloviansk from the southeast of Izium and west of Lyman.
Ukrainian volunteer and paramedic Yulia Payevska (Taira) spoke about the conditions in Russian captivity calling the conditions of detention similar to the ones in a concentration camp: "[After Russin captivity, ed.] gas chamber would not surprise me. And I'm not kidding, unfortunately. And that's only a small percentage of what's happening behind the line of contact." Taira also says that she now weighs 50 kilograms, but she plans to return to work soon after recovery.
