“This Trial Is Important to All of Us” – Relatives of MH17 Victims

The Hague District Court began hearings on the crash of Malaysia Airlines MH17. Parents and friends of the victims told Hromadske why the trial is important to them, what are they expecting, whether they believe in justice, and shared their stories about that horrible day.
The Hague District Court began hearings on the crash of the Malaysia Airlines MH17. 298 people died in that tragedy. The relatives of the victims are now attending the trial of people suspected of carrying responsibility for shooting down the plane in the Donbas. The day before the hearings started, they staged a now-traditional rally near the Russian Embassy in The Hague, placing 298 empty chairs out in front of the embassy - each one symbolizes the lives of everyone aboard the MH17 flight.
