The Ukrainian forces hit 13 Russian control points in Kherson Oblast; protesters in Baghdad stormed government buildings; the Biden administration to sell more than $1 billion worth of weapons to Taiwan. Here's what you could miss from the previous night.

The Ukrainian forces hit 13 enemy control points in Kherson Oblast and carried out 6 airstrikes on Russian air defense positions on Tuesday night, reports Operational Command South. In total, over the past day, the Ukrainian military in the south destroyed 82 Russian personnel, 30 pieces of equipment, and a crossing that the enemy established across the Dnipro near the village of Lvove.

The Russian forces attacked Kryvorizkyi, Dniprovskyi, and Nikopolskyi districts of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast on Tuesday night, says the Head of Civil-Military Administration Valentyn Reznichenko. The attack at Nikopolskyi districts hit a residential area and injured a 50-year-old woman. One house was destroyed, and another 10 were damaged.

In Baghdad, the capital of Iraq, hundreds of supporters of the influential Shiite cleric Muqtada al-Sadr stormed government buildings after he announced his resignation, the Associated Press reports. Regular troops were brought into the city. At least 15 protesters were killed. The Iraqi military has declared a curfew across the country.

The Biden administration plans to ask Congress to approve an estimated $1.1 billion arms sale to Taiwan that includes 60 anti-ship missiles and 100 air-to-air missiles, says Politico.

White House calls for demilitarized zone around Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, says Reuters. White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby says “a controlled shutdown of the plant would be the safest option.”  United States government scientists have been monitoring data from radiation sensors at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant and have so far seen no signs of elevated or abnormal radiation levels.

The court of the Lviv region seized the real estate of Oksana Marchenko — wife of one of Putin's allies in Ukraine, Viktor Medvechuk — based on the materials of the Security Service of Ukraine. Three plots of land with a total value of over UAH 2 million were seized. The law enforcement officers established that these properties were illegally owned by Oksana Marchenko. The procedure for transferring them to the state administration is currently underway.

Former Ukrainian president Petro Poroshenko handed over a robot to Ukrainian paramedics to take wounded service members from under shelling. According to him, this combat robot is already in service with NATO countries.
