Ukrainian Security Service Claims To Conduct More Than 40 Searches In Mukacheve

In the last 3 days we've conducted more than 40 searches, including 27 of them yesterday, said OIena Hitlianska, the Security Service of Ukraine spokesman.She has also stated that searches are being conducted both in Right Sector activists and in locals affiliated with a Ukrainian MP Mykhailo Lanyo, not only in Mukacheve, but also in Uzhhorod. As a result of the searches of persons that were in conflict with the Right Sector, we have found and confiscated different types of weaponry, including handguns and granades, specified Hitlianska.

"In the last 3 days we've conducted more than 40 searches, including 27 of them yesterday", said OIena Hitlianska, the Security Service of Ukraine spokesman.

She has also stated that searches are being conducted both in Right Sector activists and in locals affiliated with a Ukrainian MP Mykhailo Lanyo, not only in Mukacheve, but also in Uzhhorod. "As a result of the searches of persons that were in conflict with the Right Sector, we have found and confiscated different types of weaponry, including handguns and granades," specified Hitlianska.

More than 10 armed people involved in the accident are surrounded in Bobovyshche, a village near Mukacheve.

Police forces and members of the Right Sector engaged in a shootout that claimed the lives of at least three and injured 11 more on July 11th around Mukacheve, a city in Western Ukraine. The dispute started at a local bar when the Right Sector members went to meet with men associated with MP Mykhailo Lanyo. The topic of discussion was reportedly about contraband smuggling in the region across the border with Romania and Moldova.
