Ukraine’s Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office to Probe Into Ex-PG Riaboshapka

Rouslan Riaboshapka, former Prosecutor General of Ukraine, is facing criminal proceedings after the Specialized Anti—Corruption Prosecutor's Office filed charges of “not declaring enough information” and “accepting a bribe”, according to SAPO’s press office. The National Anti—Corruption Bureau will be in charge of investigating the case.
Rouslan Riaboshapka, former Prosecutor General of Ukraine, is facing criminal proceedings after the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office filed charges of “not declaring enough information” and “accepting a bribe”, according to SAPO’s press office. The National Anti-Corruption Bureau will be in charge of investigating the case.
Riaboshapka, in a comment to hromadske, says that he believes these charges were filed according to a request by former prosecutor Andriy Shevchenko.

Riaboshapka was widely seen as an effective reformer and anti-corruption figure – his replacement, after only six months on the job, with Irina Venediktova, was criticized by some anti-corruption and good governance figures.
