There is enough electricity to turn the power evenly for at least 5-6 hours a day

Currently, the overall electricity deficit reaches 30%. With the priority supply of critical infrastructure and network costs for the population in each region, 50-60% is left to cover the needs. This was announced by Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

According to him, this is enough to evenly distribute the load of forced outages among all consumers so that the power can be turned on for at least 5-6 hours a day.

Shmyhal explained that Ukrenergo informs regional power distribution companies about the volumes of consumption that can be provided to a particular region from power plants. Then the regional power distribution companies determine where the power will be turned to comply with the established limits.
