On the morning of August 25, explosions were heard in Kherson. The Ukrainian military launched new strikes on the Antonivskyi Bridge, which connects Kherson City with the left bank, in particular with Oleshky and Hola Prystan,
Nataliya Humenyuk, spokeswoman for Operational Command "South" told hromadske in a comment.

According to her, artillery was used for shelling. "The Armed Forces did everything to prevent the occupiers from using the bridge to transport heavy equipment and ammunition," Humenyuk said.

At the moment, the results of the strike are still being clarified, but the command already has information that the occupiers can neither use it nor repair it: "Since the repair crews have also been evacuated, realizing that fire control does not stop."

The occupiers claimed that the Ukrainian army tried to fire at the bridge with HIMARS system, but "the anti-aircraft defense worked, although there were several hits."

Humenyuk noted that fire control over the Antonivskyi Bridge continues. At approximately 11:00 a.m., local Telegram channels reported new explosions near the bridge. The command has not yet commented on these cases.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces are hitting bridges in the south, which the invaders can use to transport equipment, weapons and manpower. In addition to the Antonivskyi Bridge, nearby Kakhovskyi Bridge is also regularly targeted.
