The Armed Forces of Ukraine have struck at the landing ship Kostiantyn Olshanskyi, which was appropriated by Russia after the occupation of Crimea in 2014, the spokesman for the Ukrainian Navy Dmytro Pletenchuk said on FREEDOM TV channel.

According to him, after the occupation of Crimea, the Kostiantyn Olshanskyi was idle for a long time in Sevastopol Bay, and the ship was dismantled for spare parts. However, it was later restored and the Russians tried to pass this ship off as their restored landing ship Minsk or Olenegorskiy Gornyak, which the Ukrainian military had engaged earlier.

The Kostiantyn Olshanskyi was hit by a Neptune missile. According to Pletenchuk, the damage to the ship is currently being clarified, but it is known that it is "definitely not in a state of combat readiness."

Earlier, the Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully hit two large landing ships Yamal and Azov of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in the temporarily occupied Sevastopol.
