USA spies on Ukrainian authorities, and Muslims in Jerusalem barricade themselves in a temple: last night's highlights

The United States appears to be spying on Ukraine's leadership to learn more about Kyiv's military plans; hundreds of Muslims barricaded themselves in Jerusalem's Al—Aqsa Mosque; Poland is to provide Ukraine with 200 Rosomak armored personnel carriers. Here is what you might have missed from the previous night.
US spying on Ukraine's government
A leak of classified information shows that the US appears to be spying not only on Russia but also on Ukraine's top political and military leadership to get a better idea of Kyiv's military plans, the New York Times reports.
However, the New York Times notes that the United States has a clearer picture of Russian military operations than of Ukrainian plans. Thus, the leaked information shows that the Americans understand the depletion of the Russian army, and also warn Ukrainians about Russian strikes and even specific targets.
Unrest in Jerusalem
Hundreds of Palestinian Muslims barricaded themselves inside the Al-Aqsa Mosque on the Temple Mount in East Jerusalem on Saturday, April 8. Israeli police appear to be preparing to remove them from the holy site.
Israel claims that the Palestinians intend to attack Jews who will visit the holy site on Sunday morning, April 9, to participate in the traditional Passover blessing by priests at the nearby Western Wall.

Ukraine to receive 200 Rosomak armored personnel carriers from Poland
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine will receive 200 Rosomak armored personnel carriers from Poland, half of which are already in Ukraine. According to the president, Poland has fulfilled everything it declared regarding the tanks: they are already in Ukraine, including Leopards. There are also new agreements on armored personnel carriers – Ukraine will receive more than a hundred vehicles.
“There are also self-propelled mortars, additional missiles, MiGs... There are various humanitarian and medical projects at the level of the first ladies of Ukraine and Poland. Among other things, this includes training our doctors in comprehensive care for patients with burns and emergency air evacuation of the wounded, particularly in combat zones,” Zelenskyy added.

Vatican unites Ukraine and Russia on the Way of the Cross
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine believes that the Vatican's decision to unite Ukraine and Russia on the Way of the Cross is an attempt to equate the victim and the aggressor.
“We are disappointed that the Holy See did not take into account the arguments of the Ukrainian side about the offensive nature of such a gesture. The joint participation of a Ukrainian and a Russian distorts the reality in which Russia has plunged Ukrainians, implementing genocide against them. Moreover, such a step undermines the principles of justice and universal morality, and discredits the concept of peace and brotherhood,” the Foreign Ministry spokesperson said.

Iranian authorities are looking for women without hijab

According to the security forces, this will help prevent “resistance to the law on wearing the hijab”.
