Wiretapping at Zaluzhnyi's place of stay

Today, November 17, several media outlets, citing sources, reported that a wiretap was allegedly found in the office of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Valerii Zaluzhnyi. As RBC-Ukraine wrote, the detected information reading devices were made from elements of an unidentified sample, which does not allow the installer to be identified.

However, later the Security Service of Ukraine clarified that the technical device was found not in Zaluzhnyi’s office, but in one of his potential locations.

Upon discovery of the wiretapping, the SBU opened criminal proceedings under Part 2 of Article 359 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (illegal acquisition, sale, or use of special technical means of obtaining information).

Special operations against military targets in Russia

On the morning of December 17, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced that during the night it had allegedly shot down 35 Ukrainian drones over the territories of the Lipetsk, Rostov, and Volgograd regions.

Russian shelling

On the night of December 17, Russian occupiers attacked the southern regions with drones for 5 hours. In the Odesa region, one of the drones shot down by air defense fell into a residential area, causing an explosion. One person died.

Kherson was also shelled today. As a result of the strike on the city, an 81-year-old man who was simply walking down the street was killed. In addition, during the morning shelling of the village of Darivka, Kherson region, 6 policemen were injured.

During the day, the Russians shelled Krasnopillia, Sumy region, with artillery. One shell from the occupiers hit a private house, killing the 69-year-old owner. Homes and vehicles were also damaged.

Electing a preventive measure for a deputy bomber

A preventive measure was chosen for the deputy of the Keretskovsky village council, who exploded grenades during a meeting on December 15. He will be held in custody without the possibility of bail.

According to the case materials, the suspect in the terrorist act tried to influence the decisions of the leadership and other deputies but did not achieve what he wanted.

The prosecutor applied for detention without bail. The lawyers and the deputy himself did not object to the granting of this petition.
