Zelenskyy in Robotyne, winner of the Eurovision Song Contest national selection: highlights for February 4

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the frontline positions of the Ukrainian military near the village of Robotyne in Zaporizhzhya Oblast. Zelenskyy visits Robotyne
During a working trip to Zaporizhzhya Oblast, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the frontline positions of the Ukrainian military near the village of Robotyne, which was liberated in August 2023.
He was briefed on the operational situation and presented awards to the military.
In addition, the President appointed Ivan Fedorov, the mayor of Melitopol, as the head of the Zaporizhzhya Oblast Military Administration.
The winner of the national selection for Eurovision was determined
The duo of singers Jerry Heil and alyona alyona will represent Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 to be held in Malmö, Sweden, in May. More than 723,000 Ukrainians voted for them.
The winner was determined by the sum of points from 1 to 11, given by the audience and judges separately. More than 1.16 million Ukrainians voted for the contestants in the Diia app. For comparison, last year it was 166,000.
The day before, the app crashed during the voting. The Ministry of Digital Transformation told hromadske that hackers were not involved. The fact is that Ukrainians made 15,000 requests per second to vote for their favorite.
Meanwhile, Kateryna Zabotkina, the sign language interpreter for the national selection, went viral on social media. She was responsible for adapting the songs for the hearing impaired viewers.
Bookmakers have raised Ukraine's chances of winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö to 16%.
Poland reports excessive imports from Ukraine
Polish Minister of Agriculture Czeslaw Siekierski and his deputies have started inspections at the border with Ukraine. He said there were excessive imports of sugar, oil and cereals. He is also concerned that Ukrainian products from the Baltic States will be entering Poland.
Russian joins NASA mission
Russian Alexander Gorbunov has joined the NASA SpaceX Crew-9 mission that will deliver four astronauts to the International Space Station (ISS).
This will be his first space flight. He was born in Zheleznogorsk, Kursk Oblast, Russia. He studied to be a spacecraft engineer and graduated from the military department.
Doctors allegedly refuse to approach and treat serviceman in Kyiv
A video has been circulating on the Internet, which allegedly shows a soldier feeling sick due to a concussion, and medics were allegedly afraid to approach him.
"Doctors do not understand what to do. We are trying to resolve the situation, but it seems he will not get help (...) We ask for help, but the doctors do nothing," said the man who filmed the incident.
The police reported to hromadske that medical workers helped the man, but he refused to be hospitalized.
