Ukraine’s National Police initiated over 200 simultaneous raids across the country on Tuesday, as part of a special operation to dismantle large-scale drug trafficking networks, the agency announced on Facebook.

The operation focuses on documenting the production and distribution of narcotics, including α-PVP, amphetamine, and mephedrone, while targeting drug laboratories and packaging warehouses.

Authorities promised to release details on the operation’s outcomes later.

In 2024, the National Police dismantled 143 organized crime groups and drug syndicates, shut down over 1,000 drug labs and dens, seized tons of narcotics and precursors, and froze millions of hryvnias in traffickers’ assets, per the agency’s annual report.

Last year, police uncovered more than 47,000 drug-related crimes, charged 20,000 individuals, and sent nearly 39,000 criminal cases to court.
